Year 6 SATs

As you may have also heard on the news, Statutory Assessments Tests (SAT’s) for years 2 and 6  have been cancelled. We will continue however to maintain our high teaching standards through remote learning for those children working from home.

Near the end of Year 6, children will sit tests in:

  • Reading
  • Maths
  • Spelling, punctuation and grammar

These tests are all set and marked externally, and the results will be used to measure your child's progress and the school's performance. Your child’s marks will be used in conjunction with teacher assessment to give a broader picture of their attainment.

The Year 6 KS2 SATs will be administered in May.

The SATs schedule is as follows:

May 11th 2020 English grammar, punctuation and spelling Paper 1: short answer questions

English grammar, punctuation and spelling Paper 2: spelling

May 12th 2020 English reading
May 13th 2020 Mathematics Paper 1: arithmetic

Mathematics Paper 2: reasoning

May 14th 2020 Mathematics Paper 3: reasoning
